My name is Edmund Robinson, and I am a violin/viola teacher and violinist.
I started learning violin with the Suzuki Method in 2003, and I studied with Jane Panter.
I went on to study Music with a Focus on Performance at Bangor University under Rosie Skelton and Iwan Llewelyn-Jones, graduating in 2020.
I'm a qualified Suzuki teacher, graduating at level 1 teaching in 2022.'
For more information about what the Suzuki method is, please see this page from the British Suzuki Music Association: https://www.britishsuzuki.org.uk/pages/6-about-suzuki. Alternatively, you can get in touch if you have any questions about this.
I am especially interested in preventing musicians' injuries such as repetitive strain injury, carpal tunnel syndrome and other similar injuries. I do this by making sure that my student's posture is as safe as possible, which I have found to invariably make a better sound. I also have a keen interest in rediscovering music by composers that have been forgotten to time, with some of my favourites being Jean-Delphine Alard and Amanda Maier.
